Prior to Hoya, Montague held senior leadership positions at Essilor and Zeiss, building deep expertise across ophthalmic devices, optics, vision care, and medical technology. Known for a leadership philosophy rooted in integrity, transparency, and empowerment, Montague has built a global career dedicated to enabling organizations to grow through innovation, a customer-centric approach, and high-performing teams.
For over thirty years, Optos has revolutionized retinal imaging, elevating the business of eye care; expanding access, supporting earlier disease detection, and improving clinical decision-making to enable better outcomes. Throughout his career, Montague has also championed innovation and long-term approaches to vision health, including leadership in myopia management and preventative care.
