Alexandre Montague Chief Executive Officer 

Alexandre Montague is Chief Executive Officer of Optos, bringing nearly 25 years of experience in ophthalmology and ophthalmic optics. A seasoned global MedTech leader, he has a strong track record of leading, growing, and transforming organizations. 

Prior to joining Optos, Montague served as Chief Executive Officer at Hoya Vision Care. Montague’s career has been defined by a focus on innovation and prevention in eye care, including leadership in emerging areas such as myopia management, now one of the fastest-growing priorities in global eye health. His experience aligns closely with the Optos mission to support the detection and management of eye disease and improve patient outcomes worldwide. 

A strong advocate for purpose-driven leadership, Montague is committed to building sustainable organizations that balance performance with responsibility, across environmental impact, governance, and people development. He is known for empowering teams, fostering inclusive cultures, and maintaining a clear focus on customer value and long-term impact. 

He holds an MBA from ESSEC Business School in France, with a focus on law and finance, and has completed executive education at INSEAD.
