Today, Monday 14th May 2018, Optos are joining BBGR (Nikon Lenswear France)* for their annual Vision Van – the ‘Tour de France’ to highlight the importance of regular eye tests to maintain good vision. The Vision Van is an optometry practice on wheels fully equipped with an Optos Daytona plus and full eye testing equipment. The van will provide free eye tests for local communities in six towns and cities across France to educate visitors the importance of regular, thorough eye health checks.

Dr Pierre Larricart from 15-20 Hospital, Paris, will also join the tour to examine patients’ retinal health on the Daytona plus. The Daytona plus provides a 2000 single capture retinal image. This technology can image past the equator in less than ½ second allowing eye care professionals to find disease sooner and treat it more effectively.

The Vison Van will allow patients to check their vision as well as their prescription of lenses. Patients will be made aware of the importance of regular ophthalmic monitoring as well as the importance of high quality lenses. During their time in the practice, patients will also discover tips and tricks on visual relaxation.

You can help BBGR achieve their goal of 5000 vision tests by attending their van at a number of places throughout the months of May and June.

*BBGR is the trading name of the authorized distributor of Nikon optical lenses in France.
