Patient Acceptance Rate: Across Optos’ installed base, we see an average of 65% PAR. Optos has extensively studied our Partner’s Best Practices, and by teaching our recommended the Standard of Care approach, we often see Patient Acceptance Rates between 85% and 100%.
Recommended Patient Charge per optomap^®: Most optomap^® Retinal Exams are performed on a generally healthy population, and as a result, these “Wellness” scans not covered by patient’s insurance plans. Based on our wide experience in many patient demographics and practice types, we recommend our per patient fee of $39, which the patients would pay out of pocket.
