Reversing Logotype Color to White

Whenever the master logo is not suitable for use, the white logo should be used. Examples where the white logo should be used include when the logo is shown over a dark or solid background.

Greyscale Logo

Whenever both the master and white logos are not suitable for use, the mono logo should be used. The mono logo should only be used when the logo can only be produced in black, for example, in a mono press advertisement.

Trademark Symbol

The master brand logo must always contain the registered trademark symbol (®). The '®' registered trademark symbol must always be visible and readable. You may not remove or obfuscate the ® symbol in the Optos logo or sub-brands.

It is important that when the sub-brands (optomap®, V2 Vantage Dx) appear in written copy they are branded correctly:

  • opto should always start with a lowercase ‘o’.
  • opto should always be set in a bold weight.
  • map and V2 should be set in regular weight.
  • the ‘2’ in V2 should always be reduced to half the x height of the ‘V’ and ranged from the top of the x height.
  • The sub-brand should be followed with a regular weight registration mark.
  • plus and fa should always be set in italic.

Typeface

Complementary Font

We recommend using the Trebuchet and Arial fonts as complementary fonts to the Optos logotype.

Trebuchet

Trebuchet should be used as the primary typeface throughout all communications. Both regular and bold weights are available to offer flexibility across advertising and literature.

Arial

Arial should be used as the secondary typeface when the primary typeface is unavailable, for example, in electronic communications and web use. Both regular and bold weights are available.
